The thermal insulation performance of rock wool insulation board has always been very good, especially under normal temperature, its thermal insulation performance is much better than that of other insulation boards. In addition, the sound insulation performance of rock wool is quite good, and it is widely used in Europe and North America. However, the following points should be paid attention to when constructing the rock wool insulation board:

     1. The facilities and pipelines that need to be insulated should have no leakage, and the surface should be dry, free of grease, and no rust. In order to facilitate corrosion protection, appropriate coatings can be taken.
     2. In order to achieve the purpose of minimizing heat loss, all joints of rock wool insulation board must be very closely connected. In multi-layer insulation, each cross joint should be staggered to avoid the formation of thermal bridges.
     3. When rock wool products are being used for outdoor thermal insulation or places susceptible to mechanical wear,  metal or plastic wraps should be applied for protection.  And attention should be paid to the sealing of joints and seams. If necessary rubber sealing should be applied. The overlapping part should not be less than 100mm. 
     4. For cold insulation, a moisture-proof layer must be added on the cold-insulating surface. In the case of particularly low temperature, resin-free rock wool should be used for heat insulation, and the moisture-proof layer must also be fireproof.
