Precautions for rock wool board maintenance

1. Pay attention to rainproof, and do not construct in rainy days.

2. For cold insulation, the damp proof layer must be added. Under the condition of special low temperature, the rock wool without resin is used for heat insulation, and the damp proof layer must also be fireproof

3. When the temperature exceeds a certain temperature, for example: 200 ℃, proper external protection must be added for heat preservation, so as not to change the thickness and bulk density of rock wool board.

4. For insulation of finished rock wool products for large diameter and flat wall equipment, when the temperature exceeds 200 ℃, it is necessary to bear in mind the instructions of rock wool board manufacturer: add insulation nails (the spacing is about 400mm), and the outer protection shall be tightly attached.

5. Proper coating can be accepted for the equipment, nails and pipes to be insulated for corrosion protection. In addition, there should be no leakage. This can achieve better results.

6. If the finished rock wool board is easy to be worn by machinery under the condition of outdoor heat preservation, it should be covered with metal or plastic, and then pay attention to the place of joint and the sealing of joint. If necessary, glue seal should be added, and the stacking part of wrapping layer should not be less than 100mm

7. When the thermal insulation object is placed at 90 degrees and has a certain height, the thermal insulation layer of rock wool board must have locating pin or support ring, and the spacing must not be more than 3m, so as to prevent the thermal insulation data from sliding downward in case of vibration.

8. In order to achieve the goal of minimum heat loss, the joints of rock wool board and felt must be tightly butted. If there are multiple layers of heat preservation, the cross joints need to be interwoven to avoid forming a hot bridge. When cold preservation is carried out, the cold bridge must be eliminated.
