Recently, a shipment of CCEWOOL® 750°C (1382°F) Basalt Wool Board destined for Peru was successfully containerized and dispatched.
The shipment includes four 40HC containers for a long-term industrial insulation partner in Peru with 8 years of cooperation.
This customer has long served local building and industrial insulation projects and places clear requirements on mechanical strength and installation adaptability, as these factors directly affect on-site installation efficiency and the long-term reliability of insulation systems.
In basalt wool board applications, mechanical strength is determined by raw material stability, fiber structure, and forming methods. CCEWOOL® has optimized performance through the following approaches:
High-purity basalt from self-owned quarries is used to minimize batch-to-batch performance variation. Extremely low impurity levels help form a more uniform fiber structure during melting.
During production, the basalt is fully melted at approximately 1500°C in a cupola furnace, effectively reducing shot content and ensuring consistent quality for projects requiring long-term, continuous supply.
Through stable formulation design and controlled melting processes, CCEWOOL® Basalt Wool Board maintains consistency during fiber formation. An advanced four-roller spinning centrifugal system draws the molten basalt into non-continuous rock wool fibers with diameters of approximately 4–7 μm, ensuring good uniformity in fiber fineness and distribution.
This fiber structure provides the board with reliable:
Compressive strength
Tensile strength and delamination resistance
allowing it to maintain structural stability during installation, under long-term loads, and amid changing environmental conditions.
Considering the long transit time and multiple handling stages on the Peru shipping route, this shipment uses full shrink-wrap packaging. Multiple layers of high-strength shrink film tightly secure the basalt wool boards, maintaining overall stability during transport and reducing displacement or deformation caused by vibration, stacking, or moisture.
Without increasing shipment volume, this packaging balances moisture protection and structural stability, ensuring the boards retain their appearance and dimensions after long-distance transport and are ready for direct installation upon arrival.
From raw material selection to controlled forming processes, CCEWOOL® maintains strict quality control to ensure stable composition, uniform fiber structure, and reliable load-bearing performance, enabling CCEWOOL® Basalt Wool Board to retain structural integrity under long-term service conditions.
