Only when the acidity coefficient is more than 1.6, can the products be called rock wool products. And rock wool products used as external wall insulation have higher requirements. Only when its acidity coefficient is more than 1.7, the quality and performance of rock wool for external wall insulation can be guaranteed.
1. Comparison of chemical composition and acidity coefficient between basalt insulation rockwool board and slag wool board

Analysis: The chemical composition of blast furnace slag is characterized by the content of SiO2+Al2O3+CaO+MgO as high as 90%~95%, while the content of Fe2O3+FeO is less than 1. The chemical composition of basalt and diabase insulation rockwool board is characterized by the content of SiO2+Al2O3+CaO+MgO as high as 77%~83%, about 10% lower than that of blast furnace slag, while the average content of Fe2O3+FeO is about 11%, and the maximum content can be as high as 17%. The calculated acidity coefficient MK of basalt rock wool board is more than 1.5 or even more than 2.0, and the acidity coefficient MK of slag rock wool board is about 1.2
