The main difference between the horizontal fiber external insulation rock wool board and the vertical fiber external insulation rock wool board is caused by the difference in the production process.

     There are certain differences in physical properties between horizontal and vertical fiber rock wool boards, such as tensile strength, compressive strength, thermal conductivity, etc. Generally, the vertical fiber rock wool lamella has 1-2 times higher tensile strength than the horizontal fiber rock wool lamella with the same bulk density. Their compressive strength is similar.And vertical fiber rock wool lamella’s themal conductivity is slightly lower than horizontal fiber rock wool lamella. 
     Vertical fiber rock wool lamella’s tensile strength is much higher than that of horizontal filament rock wool, and can be used for external wall insulation. .
     The external insulation rock wool board is specially designed and produced for the external thermal insulation thin plastering system of the building's external wall. It is very suitable for brick wall or concrete wall insulation. And the rock wool lamella for external wall insulation can also be used as fire barrier, which is used together with external wall insulation materials that are not Class A non combustible, to improve the overall fire protection performance of buildings’ external wall.
