Insulation stone wool board as an insulation material has always been an important part of the external wall insulation materials of our houses. Because the insulation rock wool board is light and non-combustible, it has always been an important raw material for the external wall insulation system. But the insulation rock wool board has another invisible but not negligible feature--- very good compressive strength.
There are many factors that affect the compressive strength of the thermal insulation rock wool board. There are three important factors: the structure, the nature of the bonding mortar, and the direction of the pressure.
The structure is based on the size of crystalline particles. For some fine-grained rocks or cryptocrystalline rocks, the compressive strength is often larger than that of coarse-grained rocks. Due to the different types of natural rock used in the production process of insulation stone wool board , the crystal particle size of the insulation stone wool board is also different. But the crystal particle size of the insulation stone wool board produced from basalt is very small. So the compressive strength of insulation stone wool is great.
The mortar used in the building process of external wall insulation stone wool board system are bonding layer, an insulation layer, and a surface layer, finishing decoration layer and accessories. The bonding layer and the surface layer are all adhesives, so it has a good compressive strength. But it should be noted that the actual situation can be affected by the different quality of the boning mortar.
The compressive strength of the
insulation stone wool board is also determined by the direction of compression stress. The insulation stone wool board has layers. If the direction of stress is perpendicular to the layer, the insulation stone wool board has a high compressive strength.
