Details of external wall rockwool board insulation construction should be paid attention to so as to enhance its service life.
1. The width of rockwool board insulation should not be greater than 1200mm, and the height should not be greater than 600mm.
2. The
rock wool insulation board should be installed from top to bottom, laying in the horizontal direction. The vertical joints should be staggered by 1/2 the length of the board. The corners should be staggered and interlocked, and the verticality of the corners should be ensured. . The rockwool board insulation should be pasted firmly without looseness or hollowing.
3. The alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh at the beginning and end of the external wall insulation system should be turned over.
4. Enhancing treatment of door and window openings: At the openings, as standard mesh with length 300mm, width 200mm should be installed at 45-degree diagonal to prevent cracking.
5. The thickness of the surface plastering mortar layer of the external insulation system should be controlled within the range of 3~5mm for ordinary type and 5-7mm for reinforced type when coating finishes.
