Precautions when building with thermal insulation rockwool board
1. Thermal insulation rockwool board used for cold insulation. A moisture-proof layer must be added to the cold surface. In case of low temperature insulation, it should be insulated with resin-free rock wool, and its moisture-proof layer must also be fireproof.
2. In order to reduce the heat loss of thermal insulation rockwool board, all the seams of the board and the felt must be tightly connected. When using multi-layer insulation, the cross joints should be arranged in a staggered arrangement to avoid the formation of thermal bridges, and they must be kept cold during the cold insulation process.
3. When thermal insulation rockwool board products are used for outdoor heat insulation or where the metal or plastic wrapping is prone to mechanical abrasion. Pay attention to the joints, joints seals. If necessary, add glue to seal, and the overlap of the wrapping layer shall not be less than 100 mm.
4. When use thermal insulation rockwool board in pipes’ insulation, there should be no leakage in the pipeline. The surface of pipes should be dry, no grease, no rust. Under normal conditions, in order to have better corrosion protection, an appropriate coating can be used.
Next issue we will continue to introduce precautions when building with
thermal insulation rockwool board.
